The General Assembly of the European Road Hauliers Association UETR (Union Europ\u00e9enne des Transporteurs Routiers), held on the 9th of September in Barcelona, has appointed Alexis Gibergues, President of French road transport association OTRE (Organisation des Transporteurs Routiers Europ\u00e9ens), as the new President of UETR.<\/p>\n
Mr. Gibergues succeeds Julio Villaescusa, President of the Spanish federation FENADISMER, who has completed his mandate after leading UETR with commitment and dedication. Under Mr. Villaescusa\u2019s presidency, UETR strengthened its role as the voice of small and medium-sized road haulage companies in Europe.<\/p>\n
Accepting his appointment, Alexis Gibergues said: \u201cI am honoured to take on this responsibility at such a crucial time for European road transport.
