In the context of the 20th Anniversary of Assotir, UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia intervened at the Italian Parliament in Rome on the 9th of October about the importance of strengthening and modernising transport and supply chains. More specifically he addressed a number of existing gaps in sub contracting and intermediation, resulting in an unbalanced operational framework and unfair practices hampering the economic and social sustainability of small operators in the EU road haulage internal market.
UETR highlighted the paramount importance of ensuring fairness, quality and competitiveness aligning national efforts with the EU framework and legislative action to strengthen transparency and compliance.
