UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia spoke at the session “Launching of +FIRRST International Pilot Test stakeholders’ Alliance” in the SIL KNOWLEDGE program at the International Logistics Exhibition – SIL BARCELONA. He elaborated from a small hauliers perspective on advantages and challenges of +FIRRST system in terms of marginal cost of transport, connectivity/route definition, flexibility, traceability, CO2 emissions savings, data base/real time information, paperless procedure, estimated time of arrival. He said that it is now key to test the system on the ground, give feedback, and help refine it.
Moving faster, cleaner, and smarter — we have to do it together and UETR is ready to play its part.
