UETR as part of the Jury together with other private and public stakeholders congratulates Recharge City (Denmark) and mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona (Spain), being awarded Truck Parkings of the year 2025 respectively in the category “Large parking areas” (above 50 places) and “Small parking areas” (up to 50 places). Mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga (Spain) won the Green Truck Parking Management Award 2025.

On the same day, UETR Secretary General Marco Digioia took part in a panel discussion on the future of truck parking, where panelists addressed how to develop safe and secure parking areas (Frank Moreels, ETF – European Transport Workers Federation ; Rodrigo Moltó Martin – Ministerio De Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible, Spain; Godfried Smit, ESC -European Shippers Council; Marco Digioia, UETR; Cedric Vigneau, Moeve; Dirk Penasse, ESPORG).
Finally, the European Wellbeing campaign for drivers was officially launched, focusing on their health, rest, and mental wellbeing.. “Professional drivers play a vital role in our economy, and it’s time we prioritize their welfare—not just with better infrastructure, but also with initiatives that support their overall wellbeing.” said Mr Digioia.
